Arrived to find everything locked up, leading to a 15-minute wait before gaining entry. The adjoining bar and restaurant were closed, giving the hotel an abandoned feel. also, breakfast wasn’t served until 9 am on weekdays, which is frustrating for those with early commitments. Some rooms had issues like leaking toilets and poor mobile reception. it felt a bit disjointed with operations run by separate entities.

The food at the carvery was excellent, with a wide selection of meats and beautifully cooked veggies, making it a perfect spot for hearty meals after a long day. the rooms were a mixed bag—clean but some had minor issues, like an uninviting smell. a pleasant experience.

my stay at the fox & hound this time was fantastic! the room was spacious and well-decorated, and the breakfast options were delightful, far surpassing my previous visit. it's nestled in a perfect spot for biking, surrounded by stunning landscapes.

The room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. It had all the basic amenities, like a fridge and microwave, which was super handy. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but it was warm. it felt cozy, like a home away from home.

had a great stay at fox & hound! it’s super quiet even tho it's near the main road. perfect for nice walks in the summer. the cafe attached is really cute and serves good food at good prices. staff was friendly and made us feel welcome.

Housekeeping could use improvements, particularly in consistency!!! The mobile signal is practically non-existent, making communication a hassle!!! The plumbing noise disrupted sleep, alongside the dated decor that needs a serious upgrade!!!

The Fox & Hound Hotel offers a charming decor and cozy atmosphere, which made my stay delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I found the common areas easy to access, ensuring comfort for everyone, including seniors like me.

Super comfy stay!

After a long day on the Cleveland Way, we were welcomed warmly by the staff. The family room was tidy, just what we needed. Dinner in the bar/lounge area was absolutely delish. We expected noise from the road outside, but it was really quiet. Just a little cul-de-sac vibe! Would've loved more options for packed lunches.

Had a great time with friends here! We explored the local area and visited some stunning parks, then returned to our cozy room. The service was quick, and food was fantastic, especially breakfast! Definitely a good spot to unwind and catch up with pals.

It was just a proper fit for a lightning stop in Middlesbrough with good value considering price it charged. Abby the landlord made us feel welcome right upon arrival, even offering to carry our luggage. Make sure to register your car at reception for the free parking.
